CONQUER CORNER: DESIRE

At MTN OPS, one of our deepest convictions is that transformation begins with desire, that inner spark or voice inside your head that whispers you were made for more.

“The starting point of all achievement is desire.” - Napoleon Hill

Desire isn’t just a want. It’s the fire that drives us to become who we were born to be. It’s what gets us up early and keeps us pushing through late nights. But genuine desire, the kind that leads to lasting impact, isn’t reckless or impatient. It’s rooted in purpose, focused by vision, and tempered by faith and patience.

As it states in the Bible:

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)

Desire, combined with faith in the Lord, moves mountains. But that mountain doesn’t move all at once. It moves one step at a time, and it takes time, trust, and resilience to keep climbing.

God would not place desires in our hearts to tease us. He plants them there because He knows what we are capable of becoming with Him. Desire is divine when it drives us to serve, stretch, and sacrifice. It's not about what we can get, it's about who we can become.

That’s the kind of desire we value. Ambition with an attitude of temperance. Fire with faith. Power with purpose.

The Challenge:

This month, I challenge you to lean into your desire, especially when the road gets hard. Let the passion you feel in your heart carry you through the moments when doubt, fatigue, or failure try to stop you. Let your God-given desires anchor you in something bigger than yourself.

Don’t run from the resistance. Embrace it. Trust the process. Win each day.
