12 Years. 12 Million Meals. 12 Baskets Full.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT.

Operation Conquer Hunger has now surpassed 12 million meals donated to families in need across our nation and around the world.

The miracle continues, and it is because of you.

Twelve years ago, we made a simple commitment: a portion of every order placed at MTN OPS would go toward buying and donating food to the hungry. Averaged out over these 12 years, that commitment has meant a meal donated to someone in need roughly every 30 seconds. Every 30 seconds, day and night, for twelve straight years, because you chose an Ignite, a Yeti, an Enduro, a Hydrate, a hat, or a shirt instead of walking past us.

Twelve million meals is enough to feed every man, woman, and child in our hometown of Farmington, Utah, three meals a day, for nearly five months straight. That's the size of the miracle you've been part of.

This is your milestone. This is your miracle.

To our customers, our ambassadors, our retail partners, and every service provider who helps turn an order into a meal on a table, thank you. To the families of our MTN OPS team, thank you for sharing your husbands, wives, moms, and dads with this mission. You don't get the recognition, but you are just as much a part of these 12 million meals as anyone who punches a clock here.

And to my wife, Jenna. She is the MVP of our home. She let me take the risks, dream the dreams, and take the shot again and again over the years when there was no guarantee any of it would work. I would not be where I am today, and neither would Operation Conquer Hunger, without her love and her support.

We can't celebrate 12 years and 12 million meals without giving thanks to the God who gives us all that we have. At MTN OPS, we've made it a point to trust in the Lord with all our heart and to acknowledge Him in all we do, and He has directed our path for good. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)

He takes a special interest in the sick, the naked, the afflicted, and the hungry. My greatest desire is to walk with Him, and if He were here walking beside us, we would be found clothing the naked, visiting the sick, and feeding the hungry. "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." (Mathew 25:40)

When all is said and done, are we not all beggars? Do we not all depend upon the same Being, even God, for everything we have? (Mosiah 4:19)

So we have an opportunity to walk with Him and feed His sheep. What a blessing to be entrusted with such sacred work.

John 6 has been on my mind through this whole milestone. The miracle of the loaves and fishes wasn't only about the food. The miracle is that a miracle worker lets us be part of the solution. He took what a young lad had, five loaves and two small fishes, and it became enough to feed thousands. He used His disciples to carry the baskets out and distribute them to the masses, and they got to share in that same joy of giving. How often do we feel like what we have to offer is too small? Look what He does with anything we're willing to turn over to Him.

And when it was all said and done, it came back twelve baskets full. With Him, there is always abundance, more than enough, and more still to overflow.

I think about the widow at Zarephath. She had almost nothing left, a handful of meal in a barrel and a little oil in a cruse, enough for one last meal before she expected to die. Elijah asked her to give first anyway, and the Lord promised her barrel of meal would not waste, neither would her cruse of oil fail, until the day He sent rain on the earth. And it didn't, for as long as she needed it. (1 Kings 17:8-16)

That's the same God we're trusting with Operation Conquer Hunger. I believe 12 million is the start, not the ceiling. I believe this miracle keeps multiplying until one day we're looking at 100 million meals, and beyond. I've watched it grow from 12 meals to 12 million, and I've never once seen Him run out of loaves.

I once said Operation Conquer Hunger is a small part of what we do but the biggest part of who we are. I still believe that. But this community has grown, and a community like ours has heart, and that heartbeat keeps growing too. It has become a huge part of what we do, because of you. We will not rest until we've exhausted every effort walking with Him toward the people who need us.

To all of you, and to God: what an incredible team we make. What a blessing you are to me, to my family, to the entire MTN OPS family, and to those who need us right now.
